Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to support our multi-disciplinary design team on heavy industrial and power generation projects, with involvement in innovative stellarator technology. The role offers flexibility to work remotely or at Energy offices across the United States.

The successful candidate will bring a solid foundation in structural engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience, and will work under licensed engineers to deliver design and construction support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 2+ years of relevant heavy industrial and/or power generation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses and design under the direct supervision of experienced and licensed professional engineers.
• Provide engineering support for multi-discipline design projects from work scope development until construction completion.
• Evaluate and apply building code requirements (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC)
• Travel to project site and meetings as needed.
• Use computer software to solve structural engineering problems including 3D analytical models.
• Assist with drawings and documents production.
• Develop technical specifications, plans, and details.
