Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to support a multi-disciplinary design team for power generation projects. The role spans traditional steam, renewables, and advanced nuclear tech, with the possibility of remote work or placement at Energy offices nationwide.

The ideal candidate has solid structural engineering fundamentals, 2+ years in heavy industry, and is comfortable with building codes and design software. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• 2+ years of heavy industrial and/or power generation experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis and design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses and design under supervision of licensed engineers.
• Provide engineering support from scope development to construction completion.
• Evaluate and apply building codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC) as applicable.
• Travel to project sites and meetings as needed.
• Use 3D analytical modelling tools for structural problems.
• Assist with productions of drawings and documents.
• Develop technical specifications, plans, and details.
