Job summary

Matrix Research seeks an experienced Senior RF Systems and Business Development Engineer in Dayton, Ohio to lead RF hardware design and drive strategic growth across radar, EW, and SDR platforms. You will lead architecture, bench testing, and integration with digital and FPGA teams, while also guiding technical marketing, customer engagement, and capture initiatives for DoD and commercial partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on RF hardware design and systems integration experience.
• Deep expertise in radar, EW, SDRs, or RF front-end architecture.
• Ability to interface RF subsystems with digital hardware and FPGA processing.
• Experience with laboratory characterization tools (VNA, spectrum analyzer, high-speed oscilloscope).
• Proven track record in technical business development, capture management, and proposal writing (BAAs, SBIR/STTR).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
• Active U.S. DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Desirable: Master's in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) and DoD lab engagement experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, schematic design, bench testing, and integration of RF hardware and SDR subsystems with digital/FPGAs.
• Drive technical marketing, customer engagement, and capture initiatives for DoD and commercial customers.
• Translate complex hardware capabilities into winning proposals, white papers, and system concepts.
