Job summary

John Muir Health is seeking an Ambulatory Telephone Triage Nurse to provide timely, telephone-based symptom assessment and guidance on care level. This hybrid role requires at least one on-site shift weekly and adherence to eligibility criteria before hybrid status is allowed.

The ideal candidate will be an RN licensed in California with BLS, strong communication and critical thinking skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred
• RN registered nurse with California license required
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate assessment of a patient’s symptoms by telephone
• Utilize approved decision support tools to advise on level of care required
• Hybrid remote position with at least one on-site shift per week
• Meet eligibility criteria prior to transitioning to hybrid remote status
