Job summary
Inova Loudoun Hospital Retail Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician 2 to support medication dispensing and discharge workflows. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and holidays, including every other weekend, and offers involvement in bed services.

Qualifications
- One year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
- High School or GED completed.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in Virginia or Pharmacy intern license; BLS within 3 months of hire.
- Preferred: two years of Retail Pharmacy Technician experience.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling and dispensing medications and supplies.
- Cleans equipment and maintains temperature logs per system policies.
- Checks inventory for out-of-date products and records in the Expiring Medication logbook.
- Performs computer entry of prescription information including patient/prescriber search, drug selection, billing and basic problem resolution.
- Prepares medications for clients through mixing, counting pills, and labeling bottles.
