Job summary

PANGEATWO seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Real Estate & Foreclosure practice in Birmingham, AL. This hybrid or remote role emphasizes title review, foreclosure documents, and client communication.

The ideal candidate has a JD, Alabama bar, and at least 2 years in real estate/foreclosure work, with strong research and writing skills to manage a high-volume caseload independently. This position offers autonomy, collaboration with a seasoned team, and growth opportunities within

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Alabama Bar license and membership in good standing required.
• Minimum 2 years of legal practice experience.
• Experience in real estate law, title examination, title clearance/curative work, or foreclosure required.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
• Familiarity with Alabama title standards preferred.
• Additional bar admission in Georgia, Texas, or Mississippi preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review title examinations within established turnaround times and identify title defects or issues.
• Develop and execute recommendations for curing title issues.
• Review pleadings, loan documents, foreclosure documents, and related legal materials for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide legal analysis and opinions regarding file-level title and foreclosure issues.
• Review and manage documentation associated with the non-judicial foreclosure process.
• Independently manage and advance a portfolio of assigned matters.
• Communicate with clients, insurers, vendors, attorneys, clerks, and other outside parties.
• Prepare, review, and edit legal opinions, correspondence, reports, pleadings, and other documentation.
