Job summary

VEIR, a Woburn-based innovator in superconducting power delivery, seeks a Buyer to own non-project procurement activities and relieve the team to focus on sourcing for projects. The role covers day-to-day purchasing, vendor communications, and AVL maintenance, with a focus on keeping development timelines on track.

The position supports Product Engineering and operations, works with IT, Facilities, and Finance, and offers hybrid or remote options within a commutable distance.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in procurement, buyer, or purchasing coordinator role in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with purchase orders, vendor communications, and procurement docs.
• Experience with Procurify is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own daily procurement activities for multiple functions including Product Engineering, IT, Facilities, Operations, and more.
• Place, track, and manage purchase orders with accurate documentation.
• Coordinate vendor communications and monitor order status to prevent delays.
• Assist supplier qualification and AVL maintenance.
• Consolidate requests and secure quotes to reduce spend.
