Job summary

VEIR, a Woburn, MA-based designer of superconducting power delivery systems, seeks a Buyer to own all non-project-related procurement. The role supports Product Engineering and operations, handling day-to-day purchasing using Procurify, with a focus on timely material delivery for validation and testing.

This 6-month contract offers hybrid/remote options within a commutable distance, with potential extension or conversion to full-time depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in procurement, buyer, or purchasing coordinator roles in a fast-paced organization.
• Experience managing purchase orders, vendor communications, and procurement documentation.
• Familiarity with Procurify or similar procurement tools and strong Excel/Sheets skills.

Responsibilities

• Own daily procurement activities across multiple functions and maintain procurement records.
• Place, track, and manage purchase orders with accurate documentation.
• Coordinate vendor communications, troubleshoot issues, and monitor order status to prevent delays.
• Assist supplier qualification and maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
• Consolidate requests, obtain quotes, and support RFQ processes for non-project purchases.
