Job summary

US Foods is seeking a customer service professional for a hybrid role, primarily remote with occasional onsite at a local distribution center within 50 miles. You will handle inbound calls, process orders, resolve inquiries and complaints, and coordinate deliveries for National Sales customers in collaboration with internal teams.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, problem resolution, and proficiency with Word, Outlook, and CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a customer service call center.
• Experience in food service distribution a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication and problem resolution skills.
• Proficient with Word and Outlook; CRM/phone technology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound calls and place outbound calls to customers to provide product/service information, take orders, or address complaints.
• Keep records of customer interactions and transactions; document inquiries, complaints, and actions.
• Resolve service or billing complaints and ensure appropriate changes are made.
• Contact customers to respond to inquiries or notify them of results; refer unresolved issues to the appropriate department.
• Coordinate same-day deliveries and pickups; respond to delivery/routing questions.
• Respond to product inquiries and share information about services or products.
• Process invoices for returned goods and manage disputed merchandise.
• Notify customers affected by recalls and withdrawals; suggest improvements to prevent issues.
