The Mutual Group, located in the United States, seeks an Underwriting Specialist to manage a book of business for profitability and growth. You will review new and renewal cases, assess risk, prepare quotes, and respond to coverage questions within your authority.

You will build strong agent relationships to drive positive business flow, working with limited supervision. The role supports Field Underwriting, with hybrid or remote work options.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or related field preferred.
• Holding or working towards an insurance designation preferred (CPCU, IIA, etc.).
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in commercial underwriting.
• Experience writing business for churches or religious affiliated institutions preferred.
• Broad knowledge of P&C terms, practices and regulations.
• Ability to apply advanced underwriting concepts and sound judgment.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver profitable outcomes on less complex niche business through risk selection.
• Analyze, price, and review terms and conditions of coverage.
• Coordinate with Risk Control for inspections and follow ups.
• Escalate referrals for higher level underwriters when needed.
• Maintain service expectations and regulatory compliance with renewals.
