Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support our Corporate and AI practice areas. You will coordinate cross-functional efforts with attorneys, BD, Marketing, and Communications to translate priorities into actionable plans.

The role involves client pitching, deal reporting, market research, and creating proposals, RFPs, and marketing materials; a bachelor's degree and 3+ years in law firm or professional services preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; focus in business, marketing, or communications preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services.
• Experience with deal reporting, pipeline management, and competitive market intelligence preferred.
• Familiarity with BDMC tools and CRM systems a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain understanding of attorneys, client base, experience, and market capabilities.
• Collaborate with BDMC, Marketing, and Communications to translate priorities into plans.
• Lead cross-team efforts and ensure measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate deal reporting and maintain accurate matter data.
• Draft pitches, RFPs, presentations, and client-facing materials.
• Raise internal/external visibility through events, sponsorships, and media.
• Support SBU events and webinars and analyze attendee lists.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance BD activities.
