Job summary

City of Phoenix is seeking an Enterprise Backup & Recovery Administrator to join the Disaster Recovery team within ITS. The role focuses on designing and managing citywide backup and replication solutions to ensure rapid data protection and recovery.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in backup/disaster recovery, familiarity with Veeam, ITSM basics, and a willingness to work after hours. Hybrid telework is available with some in-office requirements.

Qualifications

Three years of data backup or disaster recovery experience.
CJIS background standards apply to finalists and FBI/State checks.
Some positions may require operating City vehicles and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage citywide backup & replication solutions to protect critical data.
Administer and maintain enterprise backup infrastructure (servers, storage, network).
Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
Create and update technical documentation for backup configurations and procedures.
Implement security best practices for backup environments to safeguard data.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards.
