Job summary

Delta Dental Ins. is seeking a Process Analyst – Release Management to support delivery of technology and business changes through controlled, repeatable release processes.

The role partners with Technology, Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, QA, and Security to coordinate release activities and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate collaborates across teams, drives data-driven improvements, and helps ensure releases meet governance and quality standards in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years in software release management, release engineering, or DevOps in a multi-application environment.
  • Experience coordinating releases across multiple applications and teams.
  • Experience with release management, change management, and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Copilot preferred.
  • Experience with Rundeck and Datadog for release automation.
  • Experience with Ivanti, Jira, Confluence; ITSM tools preferred.
  • Experience supporting WebLogic, Docker, Azure cloud deployments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM release management and change management.
  • Ability to manage multiple releases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support release planning, scheduling, and deployment activities across multiple technology teams.
  • Maintain release calendars and manage release dependencies and conflicts.
  • Monitor release readiness by tracking approvals, testing, implementation plans, and rollback procedures.
  • Support release execution and resolve process-related issues during release events.
  • Ensure release documentation is complete and maintained to standards.
  • Create and maintain process docs, workflows, articles and self-service guidance.
  • Collect business requirements for policy and process improvement, including automation.
  • Conduct maturity assessments to identify improvements or concerns.
  • Update and manage standards for interdependent processes.
  • Establish controls to review, assess, and prioritize requirements for tool designs.
  • Extract reports and provide high-level data analyses for ITSM metrics.
  • Review trends to ensure outputs meet service levels.
  • Identify issues and risks and escalate to management.
  • Partner with Engineering, DevOps, Infra, QA, Product, and Business teams to enable releases.
  • Participate in release planning meetings and communicate schedules and status.
  • Work with Change Management to ensure governance compliance.
  • Provide guidance on Release Management practices to project teams.
