Belay Diagnostics, Inc. seeks a Reimbursement Specialist, Payment Posting to accurately post payer, institutional, and self-pay payments to patient and client accounts. You will gather remittance data from ACH, EFT, lockbox, and payer portals, reconcile postings to deposits and records, and escalate discrepancies.

This role supports SOPs and AR dashboards while maintaining HIPAA compliance. The position is in Chicago with in-office presence required three days per week and two days remote,

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree as listed in Education
• 3+ years in medical billing or revenue cycle with posting responsibility
• Knowledge of EOBs, ERAs, remittance, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and payer portals
• Experience reconciling postings to deposits and records
• Experience posting multiple payment types (payer, institutional, self-pay)

Responsabilidades

• Post ERA, ACH, EFT, lockbox, check, and card payments to patient and client accounts
• Post insurance payer and institutional payments to correct invoices or accounts
• Post adjustments, contractual allowances, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, recoupments, and denials
• Apply refunds and write-offs per policy and thresholds
• Manually post payments from paper EOBs and checks when electronic posting isn’t available
• Research and resolve unapplied/misapplied payments and posting errors
• Monitor remittance files to ensure complete posting and no unprocessed items
• Identify remittance details from payer portals and verify payments map to invoices
• Escalate discrepancies to appropriate teams with supporting detail
• Support daily/month-end close with reconciled posting totals
• Contribute to payment posting SOPs and AR dashboards
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and policies
