Job summary

State of North Carolina is seeking a Rehabilitation Counselor Supervisor (NS) to lead the Asheville VR/IL Unit, managing counselors and staff in Hendersonville/Flat Rock. The role includes directing casework, budgeting, and program administration for diverse rehab services.

The position offers a hybrid-telework schedule with weekly onsite hours and a path to leadership within EIPD. Minimum requirements include a Master’s in rehab counseling or CRCC certification with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling or counseling as required.
• Certification by CRCC or equivalent experience acceptable.
• Experience supervising rehabilitation staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to Rehabilitation Counselors and staff.
• Oversee casework approvals, quality service, and budget development.
• Onboard and coach new staff for consistency and effectiveness.
• Schedule staff development and training to boost performance.
• Cover assigned caseloads and vacant workloads as needed.
• Build partnerships with community and other providers to expand opportunities.
