Job summary

DH Pace Company, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Recruiting Specialist to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Olathe, KS. The role offers a hybrid work schedule after an introductory period and supports recruiters with daily recruiting operations.

You will handle interview scheduling, candidate communications, background checks, onboarding, I-9 documentation, ID badge management, and serve as a liaison for candidates and hiring managers. Travel to career fairs may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in HR or related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support recruiters with day-to-day recruiting operations, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, and workflow coordination.
• Initiate pre-employment background checks, drug screens, and DOT physicals; monitor results and escalate or advance candidates as appropriate.
• Initiate onboarding and complete Employee Action Forms for new hires.
• Collect and verify I-9 documentation from new hires in accordance with federal requirements.
• Create and manage ID Badge access.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates and hiring managers when the assigned Recruiter is unavailable.
• Manage the recruiting hotline; respond to candidate inquiries promptly.
• Register for, track, and attend career fairs and recruiting events; travel as needed.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
