DH Pace Company, Inc. in Olathe, KS is seeking an entry-level Recruiting Specialist to join our corporate team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule after an introductory period and a path into recruiting or human resources.

The position supports recruiters with scheduling, candidate communications, onboarding, background checks, I-9 documentation, and travel to career fairs. A bachelor's degree and an interest in HR are preferred as you grow with us.

Qualifications

• Support recruiters with scheduling, candidate communications, and workflow coordination.
• Initiate background checks, drug screens, and DOTs; monitor results and escalate candidates as appropriate.
• Initiate onboarding and complete Employee Action Forms for new hires.
• Collect and verify I-9 documentation per federal requirements.
• Create and manage ID Badge access.
• Serve as a primary contact for candidates and hiring managers when the assigned Recruiter is unavailable.
• Manage the recruiting hotline and respond to inquiries professionally.
• Attend career fairs and recruiting events; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications.
• Coordinate background checks, screenings, and onboarding steps.
• Collect and verify I-9 documentation and related forms.
• Maintain ID badge access and candidate records.
• Support recruiters with event staffing and travel logistics.
• Provide backup coverage for recruiters as needed.
• Contribute to a smooth, compliant recruiting workflow.
