Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 1–5 years of practice experience and a Virginia license. DC or Maryland licensure is a plus. The role covers all phases of civil litigation, from case inception to trial, with direct client contact.

Remote/hybrid options may be available after training. The ideal candidate will work well autonomously and in a team, bringing strong communication, organization, and initiative to support efficient case management

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of practical litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia; licensure in DC or Maryland is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and work autonomously and within a team.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong organizational abilities.
• Initiative and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, reporting progress.
• Negotiate settlements, obtain authority, and prepare for trial as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.
