Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Senior Lease Accounting Manager to lead the U.S. lease accounting function across brands. You will coordinate right-of-use asset accounting, lease liabilities, and rent expense while ensuring accurate financial statements and strong internal controls.

You will partner with Brand Finance, FP&A and Leasing on budgeting, forecasting and system enhancements, driving continuous improvement and adherence to IFRS accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of lease accounting guidance and IFRS/GAAP.
• Experience leading close processes, reconciliations and controls.
• Proficiency with SAP or ERP platforms and lease accounting systems.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional partnering skills.
• CPA preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Oversees U.S. lease accounting activities across brands and ensures timely financial statements.
• Leads accounting for right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, rent expense and modifications.
• Manages month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes for lease accounting.
• Partners with Brand Finance, FP&A and Leasing on budgeting and forecasting.
• Drives process improvements and standardization of lease accounting.
• Coordinates system upgrades and testing with IT and external vendors.
