Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Lease Accounting Leader to manage all lease accounting activities for U.S. Brands and related entities.

You will oversee right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, rent expense, and complex real estate transactions while coordinating with Global partners and internal stakeholders. This hybrid role requires 8+ years in accounting, strong IFRS/lease knowledge, and experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of lease accounting guidance, real estate transactions, IFRS and company policies.
• Experience leading close processes, reconciliations and cross-functional partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Oversees lease accounting activities for all U.S. Brands and related entities.
• Manages right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, rent expense, modifications and renewals.
• Ensures timely close and reporting, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Partners with Brand Finance, FP&A, Leasing and other stakeholders on budgeting and forecasting.
• Drives process improvements and standardization in lease accounting.
