Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an experienced Lease Accounting Manager to lead the U.S. real estate lease accounting function, ensuring accurate reporting of right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, rent expense, and related disclosures.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong understanding of lease accounting guidance, IFRS and real estate transactions.
• Experience leading accounting close processes, reconciliations, audits and controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the team of analysts responsible for all lease accounting activities across all U.S. Brands and provides coaching on variance resolution.
• Manages accounting for right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, rent expense, modifications and renewals.
• Ensures monthly, quarterly and year-end close with accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Leads data analysis, trend investigation and collaboration with stakeholders to fix issues.
• Partners with Brand Finance, FP&A and Leasing to support budgeting and forecasting.
• Drives process improvement and standardization of lease accounting practices.
