University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Lincoln, NE seeks a Business Center Manager II to lead the Big Red Business Center. You will oversee finance, HR, payroll, budgets, and grants, building strong campus partnerships and ensuring compliant, efficient operations.

The role requires a collaborative leader with data-driven decision making and excellent communication, capable of guiding a team in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree plus seven (7) years of finance and/or human resources experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
• Two (2) years of experience supervising staff or serving in a team-lead role.
• Experience with SAP or similar large integrated finance or human resources system.
• Ability to analyze data and inquiries, think critically, and communicate sound decisions.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel for data analysis.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive, collaborative relationships.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and lead others in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Managing day-to-day operations of the business center including budgeting, financial reporting, grants administration, HR, and payroll.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with participating colleges and units; align services with operational needs.
• Providing consultative guidance and operational support to department leaders on business operations.
• Supervising, training, and developing staff; coordinating workload and supporting continuous improvement.
• Ensuring compliance with university, state, federal, and sponsor requirements and maintaining internal controls.
• Collaborating with department leadership and campus partners to support strategic planning and problem solve.
• Partnering with departments to develop, manage, and improve service center operations and contractual agreements.
