Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Finance/Grants Specialist for the Oldfather Business Cooperative. The role provides expert guidance across financial and post-award grant administration, managing accounts and ensuring compliance.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in finance or related field, experience with grant administration, and familiarity with SAP. A hybrid work schedule may follow an initial onsite training period, with strong emphasis on collaboration and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
• Experience with grant administration and post-award activities.
• Experience using SAP or similar large integrated financial systems.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills for budget analysis and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, advising on financial management and compliance.
• Support unit leadership in budget analysis and prepare reports.
• Provide guidance on university financial policies and sponsored programs.
• Review complex financial activities including travel, journals, accounts receivable, and capital assets.
• Prepare standardized and ad hoc financial reports and resolve anomalies.
