Job summary

STV, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Transit/Rail Engineering Intern to work with our experienced team on meaningful projects.

This hybrid position requires at least 3 days in the office each week and is open to undergraduate and graduate candidates who can commit to at least 3 months with full-time hours. You will use Microstation and AutoCAD to assist in design of rail alignments, drainage, and grading, participate in planning and construction, support construction documents, and help prepare

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university.
• Not eligible to sponsor visas for this internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of rail alignments, drainage systems, and grading using Microstation and AutoCAD.
• Participate in planning, design and construction projects.
• Support development of construction documents with drawings and specs.
• Assist in creating technical design reports, calculations, and memos.
• Periodically perform field inspections.
• Conduct research to support design solutions.
