Job summary

STV is seeking a Traffic Engineering Intern to join our team for undergraduate and graduate-level candidates. This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least 3 days per week and can span a minimum of 3 months with potential for full-time work.

You will assist with studies, design projects, and safety analyses, using MicroStation and AutoCAD, while coordinating with DOTs and local agencies. Preferred candidates bring familiarity with HCS software and traffic operations knowledge.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field at an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
• Exposure to MicroStation and AutoCAD drafting software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with traffic engineering studies and design projects.
• Contribute to traffic simulations using VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, and HCS.
• Support preparation of traffic impact studies and technical reports.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for proposals and business development materials.
• Coordinate with DOTs and local agencies; assist with public information meetings.
