Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Intern to join the Transportation team in a hybrid role, with at least 3 days in the office. Preference given to candidates available for a minimum of 3 months and who can work full-time.

You will collaborate with senior and junior designers on projects spanning public transit, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, roadways, bridges, and other major structures, gaining exposure to STV's organizational structure and software tools.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil or Structural engineering at an ABET-accredited university or equivalent.
• Strong interest in transportation engineering and infrastructure design.
• Familiarity with Open Roads and/or MicroStation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing drawings and specifications using MicroStation or Open Roads Designer for transportation infrastructure projects.
• Format reports and specifications to support project documentation.
• Support file management of project electronic documents, including printing and scanning as required.
• Gain practical experience and broad exposure to STV's organizational structure through diverse assignments.
• Utilize company-wide and department-specific software to complete various tasks.
• Engage in activities tailored to assignments to contribute to project success.
