Job summary

The position involves end-to-end testing across apps, APIs, databases, and web services to validate customer ordering and account management workflows. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Developers to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies and Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
• Hands-on experience testing web-based applications, APIs, and backend databases using SQL.
• Experience with testing and troubleshooting tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, Splunk, JIRA, ALM Octane.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end integration testing across applications, APIs, databases, middleware platforms, and web services supporting our client's customer ordering and account management systems.
• Analyze business requirements and user stories to develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for new product enhancements and releases.
• Execute functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate customer-facing experiences and business workflows before deployment to production.
• Validate customer ordering journeys, including service upgrades, downgrades, account changes, billing-related transactions, and digital customer experiences.
• Investigate and troubleshoot defects by analyzing API requests/responses, reviewing application behavior, and examining underlying system integrations.
• Log, track, prioritize, and participate in defect triage activities while partnering closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform data validation using SQL queries and backend systems to verify transaction accuracy and system functionality.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements, identify risks, and ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Identify edge cases, integration gaps, and customer-impacting issues by applying strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Communicate testing status, risks, and quality metrics to project stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Support and troubleshoot automated test execution and contribute to test automation initiatives where applicable.
