Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead testing and commissioning for HV, BESS and PV projects. You will work with the Commissioning Manager and SMEs to ensure installations are tested, commissioned, and operable while meeting safety and project requirements.

This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive project success. The position is hybrid with onsite presence required at job sites and partial remote work, and involves travel to

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team with guidance and training.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on status of each project.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and milestone lists.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning.
• Develop integrated P6 testing and commissioning schedules and keep updated weekly.
• Prepare daily commissioning reports with results and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Oversee pre-commissioning, cold, warm, and hot commissioning tests for all assets.
