Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to oversee testing and commissioning of HV, BESS, and PV projects. You will lead commissioning teams, coordinate with engineering and construction, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across sites.

This hybrid role requires on-site presence with some remote work, and travel to project sites as needed. You will develop commissioning plans, track progress, and drive improvements from lessons learned while ensuring

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective execution of tasks.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager, the status of each project assigned.
• Review technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements and assist with development of project milestones and commissioning plans.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers regarding equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Assist with integrated testing and commissioning schedules and weekly updates.
• Develop commissioning resource plan and ensure readiness across projects.
• Review energization procedures and perform switching activities as required during commissioning.
