Siemens AG in Wendell, NC, is seeking a Protection, Control & Automation Panel Design Engineer with HV experience. The hybrid role focuses on designing protection panels and integrating Siemens/third‑party automation products for critical substations.

You will lead design activities, develop logic diagrams, and prepare FAT/SAT procedures while mentoring a project team and interfacing with customers to resolve issues. Local candidates preferred with relocation support available.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Six (6) or more years in power system protection, control, and automation engineering.
• Experience designing protection, control, and automation panels with engineering deliverables.
• Knowledge of protection relays and automation systems from major vendors.
• Familiar with IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, PROFIBUS/PROFINET and FAT/SAT testing.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical, AUCOTEC EB, Visio and MS Office.
• Ability to read AC/DC schematics and substation diagrams.
• Willingness to travel ~5% and legal work authorization in the United States.

Responsabilidades

• Design electrical, mechanical, and system drawings for protection panels per specs.
• Develop logic diagrams and protection schemes from customer requirements.
• Prepare FAT and SAT procedures for protection systems projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring within a project team.
• Serve as customer interface for problem-solving and commissioning support.
• Support full lifecycle from design to commissioning and assist with scope/estimates.
