Siemens Electrification and Automation is seeking a Senior Power System Protection Engineer for utility and substation applications. The role is hybrid, based in Wendell, NC, with travel to projects and client sites as needed.

You will design, configure, test, and implement protection schemes for transmission, distribution, and industrial applications, utilizing relays from multiple vendors and a focus on reliability and performance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in power systems protection engineering for utility generation, transmission, distribution.
• Experience leading technical projects or as a Technical Lead.
• Ability to read DC/AC schematics and substation diagrams.
• Knowledge of protection relays from Siemens/GE/SEL/ABB and related software.

Responsabilidades

• Design, configure, and test protective relay systems for complex power networks.
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Lead project teams and coordinate with clients for on-site support and commissioning.
• Develop protection and control schemes aligning with standards and client needs.
• Travel 50–70% as projects require.
