Siemens is seeking a Power System Protection Engineer in Wendell, NC, a hybrid role based at our national headquarters. You will design and test protective relay systems for substations, lead FAT/SAT activities, and engage directly with clients to ensure project success. The position requires 3+ years in protection engineering, HV substation experience, and ability to travel 50-70%.

U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years in power systems protection engineering for utility generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Experience leading technical projects or as a Technical Lead.
• Knowledge of DC/AC schematics and high/medium voltage substation diagrams.
• Experience with IEC61850/MODBUS/IEC60870 protocols in protection relays.

Responsabilidades

• Design, configure, and test protective relay systems for complex power systems and substations.
• Perform FAT and SAT with comprehensive test procedures and commissioning scripts.
• Lead project delivery and guide teams through design to final commissioning.
• Interface with clients on-site for troubleshooting and commissioning.
