Job summary

Our client, a prominent AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Property & Casualty Insurance practice in Miami, Florida. HYBRID work arrangement with opportunities for significant litigation exposure and client service leadership.

The ideal candidate has a JD from a top-tier law school, Florida bar admission in good standing, and 3–6 years of insurance coverage litigation experience, including bad-faith matters. Excellent research and writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record and demonstrated writing skills.
• Active Bar Admission in Florida, in good standing, required.
• 3–6 years of insurance coverage litigation experience.
• Substantive experience handling bad-faith insurance matters.
• Demonstrated understanding of insurance coverage and bad-faith issues.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent insurers in complex insurance coverage litigation.
• Analyze insurance policies, coverage issues, exclusions, and applicable case law.
• Handle bad-faith claims and related insurance disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses regarding coverage and bad-faith issues.
• Manage matters efficiently while meeting court, client, and internal deadlines.
• Communicate with clients regarding case developments, strategy, risk, and next steps.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, clients, and professionals to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Contribute to a service-oriented team environment with high-quality work.
