Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead utility transmission, substation and distribution projects from Minneapolis in a hybrid work setting.

The role requires 7+ years in project management, strong leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, and capital project experience. You will coordinate across departments, manage safety and budgets, and serve as a vital client liaison throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience in utility, construction, or engineering.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in capital project management.
• Experience serving as firm/client liaison in lead or support role.
• Ability to multitask with competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to travel ~10–25% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution of multiple transmission, substation and distribution projects.
• Coordinate with internal/external departments to manage capital project lifecycle.
• Own all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule and budget.
• Lead project team and mentor team members.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships with functional leads.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
• Support KPI reporting for schedule and budget.
• Identify and control construction risk and changes.
• Communicate with stakeholders and prepare clear project reports.
• Analyze issues and drive improvements.
