Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee the execution of transmission, substation, and distribution projects in a hybrid work setting. You will coordinate with multiple departments to manage each project’s lifecycle, from initation through close, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role demands 7+ years in project management within utility/construction or engineering, with proven leadership of cross-disciplinary teams and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in project management for utility/construction/engineering.
• Nurtures multi-disciplinary teams and client relations.
• Experience with capital project management and lifecycle oversight.
• Ability to travel domestically 10–25%.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; collaborative team player.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own project execution, contract administration, planning, and resource management.
• Lead performance across safety, schedule, budget, reporting, and client experience.
• Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to close.
• Direct project team, mentor, and coach members.
• Maintain client relationships with functional leads and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and safety goals.
• Support KPI reporting for schedule and budget; manage risks and changes.
• Prepare clear reports and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate construction risks and changes.
