Placements24 is seeking a competent Project Manager for a civil infrastructure portfolio in Welkom, Free State, offering a hybrid work arrangement. You will oversee projects from planning through commissioning, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, at least six years of project management experience in roads, bridges or water systems, and a solid grasp of construction methods,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in civil infrastructure project management.
• Proven track record delivering projects from inception to completion.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Proficient in MS Project, Primavera or similar.
• Experience with procurement and tender processes.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and site safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans for civil infrastructure projects.
• Lead engineers, surveyors, contractors and subcontractors.
• Oversee site preparation, earthworks, construction and finishing.
• Ensure compliance with standards, codes, and safety.
• Manage procurement, tendering, and contract administration.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Report progress to clients and regulators.
