Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Project Engineer to manage engineering projects from conception to completion in a hybrid in-office setting in Arvada, CO. The role coordinates multiple disciplines, interacts with clients, and manages scope, schedule, and budget to ensure quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 4–10 years in similar roles, a Bachelor’s in Engineering, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• PE Registration preferred but not required.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams on multiple projects.
• Strong communication and client interaction skills.
• Familiarity with project controls and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project scope documents, design basis, and project execution plans.
• Integrate all disciplines to align technically and commercially.
• Ensure technical requirements are embedded in engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with Project Controls on scheduling and cost management.
• Manage project documentation with document control.
• Lead design development meetings including constructability, 3D model reviews, and PHA sessions.
• Coordinate preparation, review, and approval of engineering design reports.
• Act as responsible engineer within professional registration for projects led.
• Oversee review of equipment technical bid submissions.
• Report budget and schedule status to Project Manager.
• Reinforce quality and safety standards; perform QA before submission to client.
• Provide liaison between engineering and construction; attend bid meetings and scope analyses.
