Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Project Engineer/Staff-Engineer level professional to contribute to a range of electrical and mechanical projects across our Denver-area locations. You will apply engineering principles, manage project scope, schedule, and cost, and coordinate with operations, supply chain, and external partners to deliver reliable energy solutions.

Ideal candidates have ABET-accredited engineering degrees and EIT/FE credentials, with PE registration preferred for certain roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited curriculum.
• EIT/FE (Engineer in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering) strongly preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration may be required depending on business need.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical standards, principles, and concepts to complex projects.
• Provide technical support for operations, maintenance, testing, and regulatory activities.
• Lead small to medium projects and coordinate with higher-level engineers or supervisors.
