Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Electrical Engineer III in Arvada, CO to support design and analysis of electrical systems for energy, petrochemical, renewables, and water treatment projects. You will produce deliverables, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and guide more junior staff.

The role requires 7–10+ years of experience, EIT certification, NEC/NFPA70E knowledge, and proficiency with ETAP/SKM. Hybrid in-office schedule offered with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or ABET-accredited engineering degree with relevant experience.
• 7–10+ years' experience in electrical engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• NCEES Registration.
• Working understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA70E.
• Proficiency with ETAP / SKM.
• Ability to create One-Line Diagrams and Control Schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a discipline engineering team on projects with some guidance; supervise design personnel and staff specialists.
• Oversee electrical engineering and design reviews; assist in developing design standards and specs.
• Serve as lead Engineer or technical expert on small to mid-size projects; plan and manage engineering activities.
• Maintain and comment on project schedule and budget; understand scope of tasks.
• Conduct power engineering calculations for processing facilities across Oil & Gas, Renewables, Petrochemical, and Industrial Wastewater.
