Job summary

Moog Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Project Design Engineer who will lead structures and motion control projects with a hybrid schedule. You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee design, development, and testing of precision mechanical hardware for aerospace and defense applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with design, analysis, development and production of precision mechanical hardware.
• Strong communication of technical information to peers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Providing effective project leadership and oversight of technical, cost and schedule performance.
• Serving as lead engineer and main technical contact with the customer.
• Validating conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
• Documenting designs, analyses, and test results with accurate reports.
• Setting direction for technical teams and supporting production, assembly, integration and testing.
• Proposal development and costing support for bids and proposals.
