Job summary

Moog Inc is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead development of complex control hardware used on commercial aircraft. You will guide a team within Moog’s Aircraft Electronics group and influence design, analysis and testing from concept to release.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in project engineering leadership, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10-15%).

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering with design, analysis and development experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a project engineering lead role handling requirements, schedules and cost performance.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10-15%).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Root Cause / Corrective Action, LEAN, Project Planning, APQP, data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales.
• Establish and monitor engineering project budgets and schedules.
• Validate conceptual solutions with trade studies and analyses.
• Prepare proposal designs, cost estimates, and write the technical volume.
• Lead as a key team member among independent, creative engineers.
• Represent Moog with its technical reputation.
• Create reliable designs through comprehensive experimental development testing.
• Document designs, analyses and test results clearly.
• Consult on new product and market development efforts.
• Assist in interviewing, training, and mentoring junior engineers.
