Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead complex control hardware projects within the Aircraft Electronics Team. The role emphasizes independent decision-making, budget and schedule management, and cross-functional collaboration with customers, sales, and engineering groups.

You will develop requirements, conduct trade studies, prepare technical proposals, and guide junior engineers while maintaining Moog's reputation for high-performance motion control systems.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering with depth in design, analysis and development of complex systems.
• 5+ years as project engineering lead managing requirements, schedules and financial performance.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally (10-15%).
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Root Cause / Corrective Action, LEAN, Project Planning, APQP, Facility and Product line layout, setup and transfer, and Data Acquisition and Analysis.
• Access to US Export Controlled Information.

Responsibilities

• Develop new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales personnel.
• Establish and monitor engineering project budgets and schedules.
• Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
• Prepare successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and write the technical volume.
• Guide and operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
• Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical reputation.
• Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
• Consult on new product and market development efforts.
• Assist in interviewing, training, and counseling junior engineers.
