Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in operational cost accounting role.
• Experience in commercial construction, telecom, or related industry preferred.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP system.
• Working knowledge of construction methods.
• Financial acumen on equipment utilization, rates, and profitability.
• Working knowledge of construction accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of construction software systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage project cost control systems.
• Interpret and communicate contractual and commercial terms.
• Deliver accurate cost reporting and insights to leadership.
• Support development and execution of contracts.
• Coordinate invoicing documentation and compliance certificates.
• Prepare LEM reports, progress billings, invoices and holdbacks.
• Validate third-party invoices and reconcile billing with client systems.
• Monitor equipment usage, rental agreements, subcontractors, and ensure compliance.
• Assist project managers with change orders, payroll coordination, and month-end journal entries.
