Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Procurement Coordinator to support purchasing operations in Welkom. The role focuses on processing purchase orders, managing supplier communications, and ensuring timely delivery, with a hybrid work model.

You will collaborate with the procurement team in the office and leverage remote capabilities for certain tasks, contributing to efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness across the department.

Qualifications

• Experience in a purchasing, administrative, or coordination role.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and basic supply chain principles.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and generate accurate purchase orders in compliance with company procedures.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and pricing information.
• Track orders from placement to delivery, addressing delays or issues.
• Maintain organized records of procurement activities, invoices, receipts, and supplier correspondence.
• Assist in obtaining quotes from various suppliers for specified goods and services.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure procurement needs are met and resolve discrepancies.
