Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a Buyer to join our Global Supply Chain team in a hybrid role, with 2-3 in-office/show-site days per week. Located in McCook, IL, or Dallas, TX, you will manage day-to-day procurement, build catalogs, and drive cost savings across regions.

You will collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders, maintain supplier relations, and ensure excellent customer service while supporting procurement projects and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma with relevant experience acceptable.
• Minimum five years of related work experience in trade show, event, retail or hospitality.
• Experience with Coupa and SAP SRM strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day procurement processes.
• Identifies new procurement and cost savings opportunities.
• Establishes and maintains Coupa P2P catalogs including product/service descriptions, images and pricing.
• Provides transactional support of requisitions, POs, and invoices to ensure accuracy.
• Tracks and reports on supplier-related issues, failures and quality defects.
• Develops and focuses on continuous improvement of standard operating procedures; trains others on P2P system and procurement tools.
