Job summary

PSEG Public Service Electric & Gas Co. seeks a senior engineering leader within the Electric Operations Organization to oversee day-to-day operations in Electric Distribution and supervise engineering personnel in a union environment.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, project oversight, and regulatory reporting, with an emphasis on reliability, safety, and cost management. Advanced professional credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 6 years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• 6+ years in Power industry with transmission/distribution experience.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NESC, NEC, ANSI, DOT, OSHA.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Ability to supervise craft/construction personnel.

Responsibilities

• Function at a Principal Staff Engineer level, leading field engineering efforts.
• Oversee supervision of field forces and craft/construction in a union environment.
• Coordinate workload scheduling, cost estimation, and control implementation.
• Lead process improvements within Electric Operations.
• Represent the Company in negotiations with municipalities and contractors.
• Support storm/restoration operations and overtime where required.
