Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer to provide leadership and senior-level engineering expertise on complex utility distribution projects.

The role demands hands-on management of overhead and underground distribution design to meet client requirements, schedules, and quality standards. You will guide a team of engineers and drafters, ensuring input is valued and designs comply with client standards, codes, and safety norms.

Qualifications

• PE certification preferred and relevant professional credentials.
• 10+ years of overhead/underground distribution engineering in the electric utility sector.
• Strong electrical design knowledge: conductors, insulators, switchgear, breakers and distribution equipment.
• Familiarity with CSA/IEC/NESC standards and major utility engineering standards.
• Knowledge of overhead systems design and PLS-CADD preferred.
• Understanding of structural, civil and geotechnical aspects of distribution engineering.
• Strong project management skills and experience (preferred).
• Commitment to safety and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent collaboration, verbal and technical writing abilities.
