IFG Companies is seeking an Underwriting Specialist, Primary Casualty to analyze new business, renewals, and mid-term requests within established guidelines. The role focuses on profitable growth, risk discipline, and meeting service objectives.

The candidate will contribute to pricing models, monitor performance, and provide technical underwriting support while maintaining compliance with internal standards. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Primary Casualty lines, pricing and coverage options.
• Solid underwriting principles, policies, controls and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to underwriting strategies and pricing models for a defined portfolio.
• Monitor performance metrics and actionable insights across performance.
• Provide technical underwriting expertise and resolve policy questions.
• Ensure compliance with risk appetite, governance and standards.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships and support agency education.
• Travel to agencies/brokers up to 25% as needed.
• Collaborate with IFG teams to drive service and efficiency.
