Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to bridge design and construction on Data Center projects across the United States. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with design, procurement, scheduling and construction teams to align budgets, timelines and quality expectations.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 5+ years of relevant experience, and travel up to 50% across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent degree; or equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum 5+ years managing industrial/commercial construction projects.
• Experience with 3D modelling software and BIM tools.
• Field construction experience on active projects and strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction planning deliverables including bid packages, scheduling, estimating and VDC modeling.
• Lead planning efforts with design, procurement and construction teams for timely information flow.
• Coordinate with clients, design and trades to optimize constructability and sequencing.
• Develop risk registers and mitigation plans for projects.
• Travel up to 50% and work across North America, with hybrid site/client engagements.
