Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of construction experience, including estimating, preconstruction, project management, or project engineering.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, building systems, and project sequencing.
  • Proficiency with estimating tools and software.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project preferred.
  • Experience with project management platforms and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel 25-30% of the time (nationwide, within the continental US).

Responsibilities

  • Lead preconstruction planning, scope development, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and project initiation.
  • Partner with engineering and project teams to ensure designs are complete, constructable, and aligned with project budgets and schedules.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, perform quantity take-offs, and evaluate cost and schedule impacts.
  • Prepare bid packages, solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals, and lead bid clarification meetings.
  • Develop procurement and equipment/material tracking plans and monitor lead times and deliveries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead constructability reviews and identify cost, schedule, safety, procurement, and execution risks.
  • Manage permitting activities and coordinate with applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Develop comprehensive preconstruction turnover packages and lead formal handoff meetings with construction teams.
  • Partner with project managers during early execution to provide continuity and support a successful project launch.
